On Wednesday, October
19th, King Springs 2-5 was joined by The Safe Routes to School Resource Center,
City of Smyrna, and Cobb DOT to conduct a Walk Audit of the area surrounding
our school. The purpose of the Walk Audit was to observe how drivers,
pedestrians, and bicyclists interact with each other and the built
environment. Stakeholders from The City of Smyrna, Cobb DOT, and
Safe Routes to School observed and then met to discuss observations and opportunities.
Parents, your feedback
on the existing environment is essential in this process. Please take a

will ask questions about your feelings regarding walking and bicycling as well
as give you the opportunity to highlight areas of concern.
